Dr. Mark Herring is a North Carolina native, born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He received his undergraduate degrees at North Carolina State University, where he double majored in Spanish and human biology. He received his dental degree from the ECU School of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors. Dr. Mark went on to the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to pursue his certificate and specialty in pediatric dentistry, where he gained a keen interest and aptitude working with complex patients, children with special healthcare needs, and patients of all walks of life. Dr. Mark speaks Spanish fluently, which he enjoys putting to use in clinical practice with Spanish-speaking patients and families. Dr. Mark maintains board certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mark and his wife, Dr. Xinxin “Stephanie” Zhang, an ophthalmologist, live in Fayetteville, NC.

Dr. Zev Orentlikher is a board-certified pediatric dentist who is proficient in providing comprehensive therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Zev grew up in Israel and served in the Israeli Army. After completing his military service he moved to New York City to pursue his education at the State University of New York at Purchase College. He graduated with summa cum laude honors earning a degree of Bachelor of Science with concentration in Biology and Pre-medical Sciences. He was accepted into the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and graduated with cum laude honors. It was during his fourth year in dental school when he developed his passion towards serving the pediatric population and their families while volunteering in free clinics and going on mission trips.
Following graduation, Dr. Zev completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the Eastman Institute of Oral Health-Strong Memorial Hospital University of Rochester, NY. Dr. Zev was granted a position in a pediatric dental specialty hospital program in New York City at Maimonides Medical Center, the sole Level 1 trauma facility of pediatric care in Brooklyn.
After many harsh winters, he decided to relocate to a sunnier climate, settling in Pinehurst, North Carolina with his family. He describes himself as a “typical dad” who enjoys the company of his wife and two children. Parents and children know him as a go-to compassionate pediatric dentist who treats anyone in his chair like family.
